Next Steps for Accredited Ministry Candidates
Congratulations on becoming an accredited candidate for Alliance Ministry. We are committed to your ongoing growth as a ministry leader while seeking a place where you can minister effectively. Now as an accredited ministry candidate please follow the following process as you move toward placement in an Alliance ministry.
1. Identify a Ministry Coach – For The Alliance, coaching is a way to help you develop into the person God has called you to be. A coach is someone who can look at your life and ask objective questions and make statements that will enable you to examine your life and make changes that will spur you on to new growth in a variety of areas in your life. We recognize you might be in the midst of transition, however we highly recommend you find a coach that will be able to walk with you throughout the transition into a new ministry. Once you are placed in ministry, it might be productive to evaluate the coaching relationship and find a coach more local. If you need help identifying a coach and more information about coaching you can look throughout this website. Once you have established a coaching relationship please report back to us by completing the I Have A Coach Form.
2. Complete a Personal Growth Plan – The Personal Growth Plan [PGP] is the main tool for the coaching relationship. Please use your accreditation report as the basis for developing your PGP. After completing the PGP please forward it to your coach and jump into intentionally focusing on your personal growth.
3. Develop a plan to work through any conditions the interview team placed on your movement toward placement. Please report the plan and progress back to your regional rep.
4. Start the candidating process. When you are ready for placement, you will need to build your ministry profile together. This should be a cover letter, resume, and statement of ministry, make sure you update it to include that you are now accredited. Once that is together you can send it to the district offices where you are interested in serving. Here is a link to the contact information for the district offices. You can also download the Candidating Guide.
5. Missionary Candidates – Please review the International Worker Development portion of this website. Your candidate developer will work with you to develop in the Key Competencies and to meet the General Qualifications for International Workers.
